Note about bad weather:
Driving in bad weather for the first time is never fun but it's better
to do it with a trained driving instructor in a car equipped with dual
brake pedals. We can't control the weather but we think of it as an
opportunity to teach extra skills if it's raining or foggy on the day
of one of your lessons. We can teach some things that everyone should
learn -- even in sunny California!
Behind the Wheel Driver's Training
$275
6 hours Driver's
Training is the "behind the wheel" portion of learning to drive. Students
spend a minimum of six hours with a DMV licensed driving instructor in
a car equipped with dual brakes for safety. All cars must have dual control
brakes by law.
Fees paid in full before first lesson or may be paid in three installments
of $95 for each lesson.
Lesson One
The first lesson
is driving on surface streets to cover the basic controls of the car and
how to operate it safely.
Lesson Two
The second lesson covers
more advanced driving techniques, managing speed and traffic check in
more complex situations, and expands upon the principles of the first
lesson.
Lesson Three
The third lesson generally introduces the freeway and expands on the principles
of speed, creating/managing space, and doing traffic checks in more complex
situations.
$100 (2 hours)
This lesson is for those who would like to brush up on their driving skills in preparation for taking the DMV test. Lesson includes an overall evaluation of the student's ability and instruction focused on needed areas.
